Here at Wool n Stuff in Wakefield West Yorkshire we are passionate about craft, when I say craft I mean pretty much anything knitting, crochet, sewing, dressmaking, felting, yarn dyeing to name just a few. What's more we love to pass on our skills.
We run a full range of craft workshops aimed either at the complete beginner or for people wanting to expand their skill set. From crochet taster sessions to gansey knitting we offer something for everyone. Our classes are small so you can plenty of individual attention.
All workshops are taught in our city centre shop right in the heart of Wakefield, what's more the shop if fully wheelchair accessible.
We have so many exciting workshops coming up this year I don't know where to start. You can find all our workshops right here on our website and you can either book them online or call into the shop if you want more information.
The very knowledgeable Penelope Hemmingway will be joining us in August to teach Gansey knitting for beginners and for something a little bit different Nalbinding. I've met Penny on a number of occasions she knows so much about the history of knitting her workshops are always fascinating and completely unique.
We regularly run crochet taster sessions for people starting out on there crochet journey, they are aimed at complete beginners and we teach both left handed and right handed crochet. We also have crochet workshops aimed at the more experienced crocheter including tunisian crochet.
We are now offering sewing workshops as well everything from the complete beginner OMG I have a machine now what through to fitting zips and we will soon be offering dressmaking workshops as well.
Most of our workshops are run on Saturday's. If you and a group of friends want to learn a particular skill get in touch with us and we can probably organize something just for you.
