Can you believe it is September already?

A lot of things have been happening in the shop just recently and I thought I would take 5 minutes to give you a quick update on all the new yarns and everything else that has arrived in our shop. But before I do that I just want to mention we had to rearrange the dye your own yarn with The Knitting Goddess due to illness and the session will now take place on Saturday 30th September and we now have two spaces available one in the morning and one in the afternoon (although I may be able to juggle things around if two of you want to do this together). So if you fancy having a go at yarn dyeing and meeting Joy from The Knitting Goddess book a place here.

So back to what new in the shop, well as many of you have seen the shop is absolutely stacked to the ceiling with yarn and I still need to find room for a couple of new yarns that aren't in stock as yet. But as always our shop has elastic walls and ceilings and there will always be room for just a few more yarns.

So in no particular order new yarns for this season are Debbie Bliss Rialto Luxury Sock yarn there are so many gorgeous colours I just don't know where to start, OK granted maybe I shouldn't have ordered so many different shades but it was impossible to choose. Now the Debbie Bliss Rialto Luxury  is not just for socks, it's a standard 4 ply and can be used to knit shawls and cardigans as well. I'm seriously tempted by this shawl when I will have time is a completely different matter.

Also new in we now stock an extensive range of Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino, see I do (eventually) listen to your requests. Having started knitting it this week I see why so many of you have asked for us to stock it.

Lastly from Debbie Bliss and this is by far the yarn I'm most excited about this autumn is Debbie Bliss Aymara Alpaca yarn. Now this yarn is so soft and cuddly everytime I walk past the display I just can't help myself from touching it. Many of you agree as well and the Debbie Bliss Aymara has proved to be very popular and is flying out of the shop. Yes of course we stock all the colours and the book as well. If nothing else call into the shop and give it a stroke!

So next to our friends from Germany, Rico Designs. As many of you know I'm a huge fan of Rico yarns and it didn't take Michael much to persuade me to add some new yarns to our collection. In fact if you were to wonder past and have a peer in our windows at the moment you will see we have given the entire window space over to Rico, yep that's how many of there yarns we carry we can now fill the window with them. My absolute favourite new yarn from them is Rico Luxury Alpaca Superfine yarn. I have to say it's lush, yes you heard Rico Luxury Alpaca is lush, not just good for accessories but for jumpers as well and it's been selling fast!

Also new in our Rico Wool Degrade which is brilliant for shawls there's even a free pattern on the ball band and Rico Merino Prints.

Also new in is King Luxury Merino DK we stock all 22 colours and this yarn is proving so popular in the shop and I can definitely see it becoming a permanent fixture.

We also have in stock Stylecraft Tweedy DK yarn and one of my most favourite yarns ever the brand spanking new West Yorkshire Spinner The Croft. The Croft is 100% Shetland yarn spun here in West Yorkshire into the most amazing hanks of aran weight yarn. This yarn is proving really popular and we are out of stock of a couple of shades just waiting on more been available, but in the meantime why not call in and take a look the fade sweater is really on trend.

Well that's it for now but I'll update you again once the last few deliveries arrive, I will just mention that one of them contains new baby Rico yarns!
