Last winter one of my regular customers walked in with a challenge. She wanted to give her mum a bouquet for Christmas not a flowery one, but one made of yarn. Could I help her? Well after quite a bit of head scratching I figured out a way to make a ball of wool sit on a 'stem' in just the right place and that was the beginning of our fabulous yarn bouquets.
Each yarn bouquet I make is different, there are no two the same so you can guarantee the lucky person you are gifting one to will never see another. It all starts with a chat, we talk about the person's favourite colours, what they like to knit and how much you would like to spend. From there I go off and select some yarns that work together and then start constructing the bouquet.
Now these yarn bouquets are a bit tricky to make and I need at least 24 hours notice to make one. So why not call into the shop and order one now for Christmas, we are quite happy for you to spread the cost as well. Pay a deposit when you order, then pay something towards it each week until you are ready to collect it.
This year we will also be making up yarn hampers to order as well, these are ideal if you are wanting to include needles, hanks of yarn or patterns, as these simply won't fit into a bouquet.
Now these bouquet can't be sent by courier, they are just too big and delicate, and I don't think they would arrive in one piece. But by all means we can send hampers out by post so if your not a local customer and still want one give us a ring to order one on 01924 565740.
Unfortunately I haven't taken pictures of all the bouquets I've made since this very first one, but here is one from Mother's Day just to give you another idea of what we can do.
On top of yarn bouquets and hampers we are also making advent boxes this year. The full details can be found here we are only making a limited number so please don't delay in either ordering one online or call into the shop to reserve one.
