Wool n Stuff is a large city centre yarn shop but we don't just sell yarn you will find a large selection of fabric, haberdashery, needle felting supplies, craft kits, books, cross stitch, DMC threads, zips and so much more.
You will find us on the main shopping precinct in Wakefield directly opposite the Halifax Bank and just down from Boots and Marks and Spencers. We have literally moved just 300 yards from our old shop. Now don't be confused when you come to see us we don't actually have a shop front and the tiny little entrance disguises the beauty within.
The new shop is bright its full of colour and what's more it is huge. When we announced we were taking on an old nightclub we weren't joking. More importantly the shop is now fully wheelchair accessible and when we say accessible we don't just mean you can get in the door but then you will have to walk. Making the shop accessible was one of the main goals for the new premises and watching the delighted look on our customers faces when they are whizzing round the shop makes all the effort worth it.
Our shop has always been welcoming to all and we are big on community. We host four knit n natter sessions are week, which are free to attend. These take place at the back of the shop leaving plenty of space for customers to browse. In the coming weeks we will be opening our dedicated workshop space and will be inviting guest tutors in to use the space as well as running workshops ourselves.
